The Advantages and Functioning of the Hybrid System-VORTEX

As an integrator and installer of VICTAULIC VORTEX hybrid extinguishing systems, we offer a fire protection system incorporating two extinguishing agents.
Unlike other multi-agent fire systems, VICTAULIC’s VORTEX hybrid system uses the complementarity of nitrogen and water as an extinguishing agent.
In suspension, this dense and homogenous combination of nitrogen and water pulverizes, cooling the fire zone and eliminating the oxygen that feeds the fire. For incubated fire sources, nitrogen being the main extinguishing agent, it acts by reducing the oxygen level in the targeted space to a breathable level, not allowing to maintain combustion.
This technology is particularly effective for the protection of large spaces, as there is no need to provide airtightness of the room.
This concept meets the NFPA 2001 and 750 standards and the new fire standard NFPA 770
National Fire Protection Association
The VORTEX system is 100% green, therefore respects the environment.
This system integrates with your existing fire safety system. It thus becomes the ideal solution to reduce the risks and potential impacts of a disaster.

“Our project required a turnkey solution, having as main issue the lack of water pressure necessary for the operation of a conventional sprinkler system. The Groupe RoyalTech team proposed a hybrid system (water, nitrogen). The installed system design not only meets NFPA standards for fire protection, but requires significantly less water than a standard water mist system, so there is a better chance of preserving our heritage building in the event of a fire.”
